Dr. Strange: Eye of Agamotto
The 2016 film Dr. Strange had a bevy of interesting props and costumes, most notably the "Eye of Agamotto." This ancient relic and infinity stone container (spoiler!) showed up on screen I knew I had to build one.
The prop was fully modeled in Rhino5 and then rapid prototyped on a Projet3500HDMax. Because of the thin walled sections in the bars that overlay the eye, several complex 2-part molds were required in order to properly injection cast the piece. The final prop was cold cast using Smooth-Cast Onyx and brass powder.
