Samaritan
For this feature I worked with the Costuming Supervisor Beverly Woods to recreate several unique belt buckles for the main villian Cyrus, played by Pilou Asbæk.
Since I was working from a pre-existing buckle that needed to be replicated, I digitally modelled the part in Rhino3d and then printed a high resolution prototype on an SLA printer.
The final finish was achieved using a cold casting technique using a blend of aluminum and nickel powders to get that weathered metal look without having to actually sand cast the part. A generic bit of buckle hardware was mounted to the back and these were ready to roll.
